According to Li Jing, secretary-general of the relevant industry branch of China Automobile Association, the automotive-related industrial sub-committee for automotive adhesives/sealant was established in 1993. In the past 15 years, the automotive adhesive/sealant industry has made remarkable achievements. The total amount of rubber used in the automotive industry and the proportion of used rubber have been greatly improved. New products for environmental protection and energy-saving automotive adhesives continue to emerge, and the automotive adhesive technology is gradually replacing With some traditional techniques, domestic related companies have also become an important force in the industry. In the past 15 years, the relevant industrial branch and the automotive adhesive/sealant professional committee have held several technical seminars and exchange activities for the five five-year plans for the “Ninth Five-Year Planâ€, “Fifteenth Five-Year Plan†and “Eleventh Five-Year Plan†respectively. Major development goals and key development projects, promote the research and production of various new products, new materials and new processes, formulate industry standards, hold relevant technical training, write “Automobile Adhesives/Sealants Application Manualâ€, and establish damping materials research The institute started the research on NVH and lightweighting of automobiles, and did a lot of work for the upgrade and replacement of automotive adhesives/sealants under the environmental protection, energy saving, and safety requirements.
