In order to promote the rapid and healthy development of China's environmental protection industry, protect resources and the environment, and cultivate new economic growth points, the State Economic and Trade Commission recently joined the State Planning Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Construction, the People’s Bank of China, the State Administration of Taxation, and the State The General Inspection and Quarantine Bureau jointly issued the "Opinions on Accelerating the Development of the Environmental Protection Industry," and proposed to strengthen the orientation of industrial policies, speed up structural adjustments, and promote the upgrading of the environmental protection industry. It should not be allowed to rise all the time; rely on technological progress, improve the level of environmental protection technology and equipment, and accelerate the environmental protection industry. Localization of key technologies and equipment; strengthening of supervision and management, standardization, establishment of a unified, open, and orderly environmental protection product market; all levels of administrative authorities and law enforcement supervisory departments may not set up environmental protection production and business units; implement preferential policies to encourage To support the rapid development of the environmental protection industry; actively create conditions to stimulate the effective demand of the environmental protection industry market, and at the same time play the role of relevant departments and intermediary organizations.
It is also understood that the State Economic and Trade Commission is currently organizing the formulation of the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" for the National Environmental Protection Industry. It is estimated that by 2005, the average annual growth rate of the output value of China's environmental protection industry will exceed 15%, and the total output value will reach 200 billion yuan, of which the output value of environmental protection equipment products will be about 55 billion yuan, and the total output value of resources will be about 95 billion yuan, and the environmental service marketing amount will reach 500 billion yuan.
China will give priority to the development of three major areas of environmental protection industry
Recently, the relevant departments have identified three priority areas for the priority development of the environmental protection industry, namely environmental protection technologies and equipment, environmental protection materials and environmental protection pharmaceuticals, comprehensive utilization of resources, and environmental services.
