Pangang successfully developed pollution-free hot-dip galvanized sheet products

Hundreds of tons of pollution-free hot-dip galvanized sheet, which was recently trial-produced by Pangang, is currently being tested by five domestic appliance companies, and the most used one is a Japanese-funded enterprise.

It is reported that the production of such hot-dip galvanized sheet is still under development at home and abroad. As the first successful development company, Pangang has received orders for seven or eight thousand tons of products, and the order quantity is still increasing. Pangang will achieve mass production of the product.

According to reports, the European Parliament and the Council will officially implement the "Regulations on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment" (RoHs) from July 1, 2006. According to the requirements of this directive, after July 1, 2006, new electronic and electrical equipment placed in the European market, prohibit or restrict the use of lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (Cr6), Six substances such as polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) and polybrominated biphenyl (PBB). In other words, only the use of environmentally friendly pollution-free hot-dip galvanized sheet of home appliances, in order to obtain a "green card" into the European market.

The hot-dip galvanized sheet generally needs to be passivated during the production process. The so-called pollution-free hot-dip galvanized sheet means that the passivating agent of the steel sheet does not contain the above six substances. However, if the passivation treatment agent does not contain hexavalent chromium, the corrosion resistance of the hot-dip galvanized sheet is lowered. It is a non-polluting and anti-corrosive passivation agent that can replace the six price. There is no mass production in the world, which is the biggest difficulty in developing pollution-free hot-dip galvanized sheet.

In order to meet the requirements of the EU RoHs Directive and meet the urgent needs of China's household appliance industry for pollution-free galvanized sheet, the Pangang Cold Rolling Plate Plant and the Steel Research Institute formed a research group to develop a pollution-free coating last year, in May this year. Since the special treatment process has been used, a large-scale industrial test of pollution-free passivation of hot-dip needle plates has been carried out, and high-quality hot-dip galvanized sheets containing no hexavalent chromium passivation have been successfully produced in batches.

After 96 hours of accelerated salt spray corrosion test, the rust area was only 2.5% to 10%, which met the corrosion resistance requirements of the six-pass chromium passivation board, which fully satisfied the Japanese company - Panasonic Company The plate accelerates the salt spray corrosion test with respect to the requirement of "corrosion area <20%".

The successful development of Panzhihua Iron and Steel's pollution-free hot-dip mirror steel plate will bring revolutionary changes to the coating process of the home appliance industry. After the research of the research group, the painting of the new product is simplified into a five-step coating, which can improve the user's production efficiency, reduce the processing cost and environmental protection treatment costs.
