The nuclear magnetic resonance logging tool developed by PetroChina Logging Company fills the domestic gap

[ China Instrument Network Instrument New Products ] Recently, China National Petroleum Corporation Logging Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "logging company") independently developed domestic high-end logging equipment multi-frequency nuclear magnetic resonance logging tool has made significant new oil and gas exploration in many regions of China. The discovery provided technical support and the overall technology reached the international advanced level. The successful development of this instrument has filled the gap in the field of this equipment in China, and will effectively enhance China's ability in complex oil and gas identification.

China Petroleum Group Logging Co., Ltd. (CNPC Logging) was established in December 2002, directly under China National Petroleum Corporation, registered in Xi'an High-tech Development Zone, is a collection of logging technology research and development, logging equipment manufacturing, logging technology A specialized technology company that combines service and oil and gas evaluation.
Logging runs through the whole process of oil and gas exploration and development, and is the key engineering technology for finding oil and finding gas. Multi-frequency NMR logging technology can directly measure important reservoir parameters such as porosity, permeability, hydrocarbon saturation and mobile fluid saturation. It is the only logging method that is not affected by lithology and can improve “low porosity”. The low-permeability and low-resistance reservoir effect is one of the most well-known logging technologies in the world with the highest service fees and reservoir evaluation results, and one of the leading technologies in the field of petroleum exploration and development.
In response to the domestic complex oil and gas exploration and the development of the international oil and gas resources market, the logging company has continued to tackle the problem for more than ten years, breaking through the technical problems of high SNR sensor design and manufacturing, downhole multi-frequency high-power emission and weak signal detection. Successfully developed high-precision multi-frequency nuclear magnetic resonance logging equipment, and formed a comprehensive processing software to improve the accuracy of oil and gas identification, with independent intellectual property rights.
The equipment was tested and applied in 2014, and more than 800 wells were drilled in 16 oil and gas fields in Changqing, North China, Qinghai and Tuha. The application shows that the equipment system has good repeatability, consistency and stability. The main technical indicators are comparable to similar foreign products, and the overall technology has reached the international advanced level.
Appraised by China Petroleum Science and Technology Achievements, the equipment was selected into the 2014 China Petroleum Top Ten Science and Technology Progress List, and in 2018 won the Petroleum and Petrochemical Science and Technology Achievements Transformation and Promotion Gold Award.
Up to now, the logging company has established a multi-frequency nuclear magnetic resonance logging instrument industry standard and product production line, delivering 20 sets of instruments, producing 10 sets, the average single set cost is about 40% of similar foreign instruments, for domestic imaging logging. The equipment has laid the foundation for large-scale application.

A highly porous adsorbent material, produced by heating organic matter, such as coal, wood and coconut shell, in the absence of air, which is then crushed into granules. Activated carbon is positively charged and therefore able to remove negative ions from the water such as chlorine and dissolved organic solutes by absorption onto the activated carbon. The coconut shell carbon must be replaced periodically as it may become saturated and unable to absorb.

One of the most common applications for activated carbon is the reduction of the undesirable tastes and odors present in many chlorinated water supplies. Activated carbon has been successful for many years in the reduction of free chlorine from water supplies. The end product is clean, fresh water with no objectionable taste or odor characteristics.
