GKN Increases Sales to US$9.7 Billion in 2011

The GKN Group has announced that its 2011 sales totaled 6.1 billion pounds (about 9.7 billion U.S. dollars), a year-on-year increase of 13%.

In 2011, GKN's operating profit was 468 million pounds (approximately 746 million U.S. dollars), an increase of 14% year-on-year; pre-tax profit was 417 million pounds (approximately 664 million U.S. dollars), an increase of 15% from the same period last year; profit per share was 22.6 pence. A year-on-year growth of 9%; dividends per share were 6.0 pence, up from 20% year-on-year. As of the end of 2011, GKN's net debt was 538 million pounds (approximately 857 million U.S. dollars).

In 2011, GKN Driveline’s four business branches all achieved sales growth, including GKN Driveline’s sales of 2.678 billion pounds (about US$ 4.266 billion); powder metallurgy business (GKN Powder Metallurgy) The sales were 845 million pounds (about 1.346 billion U.S. dollars); GKN Aerospace sales were 1.481 billion pounds (2.359 billion U.S. dollars).
