In other words, they can use neutral water to get the current, not the corrosive or toxic liquid, which means the technology is not only safer to use but also has lower maintenance cost. More importantly, this battery is also very durable. According to the team, after they had fully charged the battery 1000 times, the energy storage capacity of the battery was only lost by 1 percentage point. This value is very, very low compared to most lithium-ion batteries. It is understood that this new battery technology developed by Harvard University will not only apply to small devices such as mobile devices, it can also be applied to large-scale energy storage systems such as solar panels in the future.
