According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs of China, China's natural rubber imports in July 2015 were 267,645 tons, a 73% increase from the previous month and a 70% increase over the same period last year. Imports from January to July were 1,396,256 tons, down 11.5% year-on-year; in July, synthetic rubber imports were 152,691 tons, down 11.5% from the previous month and up 27% from the same period last year. Imports from January to July were 965,502 tons, an increase of 10% year-on-year. China imported 420,000 tons of natural and synthetic rubber (including latex) in July 2015, an increase of 27% from 330,000 tons in June. Previously, the total rubber imports in the first half of 2015 totaled 1.94 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 10.8%. However, rubber imports in the beginning of 2015 totaled 2.36 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.7%.
