COSCO participated in the research and development of Jianghai container ship

The Yangshan Port Jianghai Intermodal Container Ship Type Development Project undertaken by Shanghai Ship Transportation Science Research Institute recently passed the acceptance test and attracted COSCO Group to participate in research and development.

The project aims to develop a container-type sea-transportation vessel from Yangshan Port to the Yangtze River to meet the rapidly growing container collection and transportation needs of Yangshan Port.

The Shanghai Ship Research Institute has proposed a reasonable mode of transportation, and has accordingly designed a cost-effective container ship type. One of the 298 20-cabin ship types attracted the participation of Shanghai Pan Asia Shipping Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of COSCO Group, which is currently included in the company's construction plan.
