How to adjust the vortex flowmeter sensitivity

Vortex flowmeter is mainly used for industrial pipeline fluid flow measurement, such as gas, liquid, steam and other media. It is characterized by small pressure loss, large measuring range and high accuracy. It is hardly affected by parameters such as fluid density, pressure, temperature, viscosity and so on. Vortex flowmeter in the pipe when there is no liquid flow, the noise generated by the pipeline vibration so that the receiver abnormally count, then you should adjust the sensitivity of the instrument.

1, the amplifier gain adjustment Under normal circumstances without the vortex flowmeter amplifier gain adjustment, unless after the replacement of the sensor. Amplifier gain is adjusted by the AMP potentiometer on the amplifier board A, and the amplified vortex waveform is monitored on the oscilloscope. At the minimum flow rate, the peak value of the vortex waveform is about 100 mVP-P.

2, the trigger level adjustment Trigger level increases (pulse sensitivity), will reduce the sensitivity of traffic. When there is no liquid flow in the pipe, abnormal pulsation due to noise from the pulsating flow due to pipe vibration can be effectively handled by increasing the trigger level.

The trigger level can be adjusted by the TRG potentiometer on the vortex flowmeter amplifier board, and the peak of the amplified vortex waveform can be converted into a pulse whenever the pre-determined trigger level is exceeded. Therefore, flow sensitivity decreases due to increased trigger levels.

When the trigger level changes from 80mVP-P to 350mVP-P, the resulting sensitivity will be 80/350 = 1 / 4.4 (Sensitivity Ratio) times.

When changing the sensitivity, the resulting minimum flow rate (measurable lower limit flow) is about 1 / (sensitivity square root times the standard minimum flow rate).

3, zero adjustment Vortex flowmeter correct wiring, low-frequency signal generator to the vortex flowmeter input amplitude of zero signal, adjust the zero adjustment potentiometer, digital multimeter display value should be 4mA.

4, full-scale adjustment If you do not know the instrument full-scale frequency, through the maximum flow, calculate the full-scale frequency B to adjust the instrument, the relationship is: fmax = KQQmax

The correct wiring, vortex flowmeter with a signal generator output signal to the charge amplifier, increase the input signal amplitude, the output square wave conversion, change the output frequency of the signal generator until the value displayed on the frequency meter is calculated according to the above formula Out of full-scale frequency so far.
