Dongan Power's first batch of DA471QLRP engine and DAT13R transmission from Italian Piaggio Company formally went offline. This is the first time that Dongan Power has been engaged in the research, development, and production of mini-vehicle engines for 30 years. The engine and transmission products have been exported for the first time to enter the European market.
Piaggio Italy is a world-renowned scooter and motorcycle manufacturer. It also produces mini-vans, single-row mini-trucks and three-wheeled light commercial vehicles. After several rounds of technical and business exchanges, Dongan Power won the favor of Piaggio Italy due to its strong R&D and manufacturing capabilities and excellent performance in meeting Euro IV standards. The batch export of 15 sets of DA471QLRP engines, will export 360 sets of engines and 50 sets of transmissions in March. It is expected that 4,600 engines and 2,000 transmissions will be exported in 2010. From 2011 to 2015 can be expected to achieve a larger order volume.
On this basis, Piaggio will also share with Dongan Power an important new technology for light commercial vehicles, mainly including technologies for thermal power engines and electric power machines as well as hybrid vehicles.
