How to achieve the camera's "wire counting" function? Here I will share with you the setting method of Hikvision Camera (DS-2CD7A46F-IES) "Over the line counting".
First, the setting of the line count
1. Check “Enable line counting” to enable camera count counting function ( Smart events must be turned off : for example, zone intrusion, etc., meaning that the line count and other events cannot be used at the same time)
2. Click "Smart Rules" to draw a valid line for line statistics. If you need to redraw the line, click ".

The button changes the direction of entry and adjusts the line count detection direction.
4. Enable OSD overlay to superimpose incoming and outgoing statistics in the upper right corner of the image. The overlay information only counts the number of the day.
5. Arming time: The default is to arm throughout the day, click on the time period of arming, you can display and adjust the arming time. If other times need to be set to the same arming time, click the green copy button on the right side of the time axis; you can set multiple arming time periods a day.
6. After the related parameters are modified, click the "Save" button to save the relevant settings.
(Note: If the device is restarted, the count will be cleared automatically, and it will be automatically cleared at zero every day)
Second, application
This interface can be used to count and export statistical data that is validly stored on the SD card or NAS storage installed in the network camera, for example, through the line count.
