According to Qian Jun, president of China Construction Machinery Industry Association, the registration of non-road mobile construction machinery in Beijing by the association is a public welfare activity. More than 100 staff members will take on-site services in 16 districts. No fee is charged. Through the registration and posting of different emission standards for 11 types of construction machinery products, a total of 22 pieces of information will be used to strengthen the management of the construction machinery industry and help improve the environmental quality of Beijing.
According to experts' estimates, Beijing's non-road mobile construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, internal combustion forklifts and other equipment market has a capacity of about 100,000 units, and its single pollutant emissions are generally several times higher than light-duty vehicles.
